Friday March 8th's Grand Theft Impro and Enemies will span the generations in very much the manner of that Star Wars film where Harrison Ford gets Kil(spoiler alert)led.

As usual, we're delighted to welcome a marvellous set of Enemies...

The Homunculus. Tim Grewcock and Shaun Lowthian are an improvised comedy and film-making duo, performing in London and beyond with the likes of Do Not Adjust Your Stage, The Free Association and more. With a single word of inspiration from their audience, Tim and Shaun improvise hilarious scenes, stories and characters. Spokke, their comedy short homage to Scandi Noir, was nominated for Writers' Guild Award in 2019. Press with DNAYS: ★★★★★ - ‘Fearless comedy to great effect’ (Everything Theatre), ★★★★★ - ‘A superb masterclass in improv comedy’ (LondonTheatre1), ★★★★ - ‘Great characterisation’ (Remote Goat.)

Then, Grand Theft Impro will contain, within its fleshy being, three, yes three, former members of one, yes one, 1990s impro group.

Spontaneous Combustion formed in 1989 and performed shows in theatres, comedy clubs, colleges, radios, televisions, festival stages, conference centres, hotels and a swimming pool* all over this great land, taking four highly successful narrative shows to the Edinburgh Festival, the last being in 1997. Three of those pictured below, in 1993, will be in Grand Theft Impro on March the 8th. But in a wrinklier and, apparently, a more characterful, iteration. And if you imagine that, on the night, you'll be wondering which three of the four they are... tragically, you'll know.
*True. Comic Relief.
