GTI at The Miller, July 9 2021: Forristal, Emery, Whelans, Mooney in time travel miracle.

That’s right: in a massive F.U. to the Gregorian calendar and our understanding of time, GTI will take to the stage at Hoopla on Friday July 9 2021, two days before the 2020 European Championship Football Final.

Now that the go-ahead has been given for noteworthy events to simply up sticks and move to a different year, the Kennedy assassination has applied to take place in 1971 and the emancipation proclamation has asked to happen every year until they do it properly. Am I right? I should tweet that, right?

GTI will be part of a terrific night, along with BRA and Multiverse

GTI will comprise…

Dylan Emery is co-founder of Olivier Award-winning West End, Edinburgh Festival and Radio 4 Impro Hit, Showstopper and Ken Campbell-inspired hard-bardics masterclass, the School of Night. Dylan’s Crunchy Frog Collective website brings all of the U.K.’s impro under One Worldwide Roof.

Francesca Forristal is a product of the impro talent-greenhouse that is the Oxford Imps. She performs impro all over the place, notably as Christian Adore in two-person musical impro sensation, Dragprov Revue. Francesca is also a West End star; as co-creator (with the unnecessarily gifted Jordan Clarke) – and performer of verbatim musical Public Domain. Their previous collaboration, work-in-progress P.S. I’m a Terrible Person, is currently in development.

Nell Mooney studied improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade in the US and has worked in London with the likes of Showstopper, The Free Association and Monkey Toast. Her screen credits include Hyde Park on Hudson, Enchanted and Law & Order.

Phil Whelans – writer and performer of his own Radio 4 sitcom, My First Planet, founder member of Pros from Dover – with whom he did two series of Radio 4’s The Infinite Monkey Cage. Phil has worked with everyone from Joan Rivers to Basil Brush, Al Gore to Brian Conley, Robin Williams to Giles Brandreth. He has appeared in Showstopper: the Improvised Musical, Hamlet Improvised, Court in the Act, countless other impro formats and various unsuccessful radio and TV impro pilots.
